it's really funny how any time a site is like "we have issued a vague ban on anything that might encourage no-no thoughts," the response to people asking how the hell they're supposed to hold adult conversations about complex topics is invariably a bunch of dorks going, "there are SO many places for you to post NAKED HOOTERS and other NASTY HORNY THINGS 🙄 you don't need to do it here!!"
It doesn't matter how many times anyone clarifies that talking about sexually explicit topics is not necessarily for titillation, because the site rules in these situations are implicitly that you should act like you're on Teams at work. but that sounds horrible for a personal account on social media, doesn't it? especially if you have things you want to talk about that you wouldn't necessarily discuss with your coworkers where your boss can see it. unless you are basically okay with the owner of a site being your de facto boss and directing your Content Output to their liking.
you would think that being able to follow or unfollow individual people would make what they want to post on their own account none of anyone else's business, but when you are more or less treating the act of Being On Social as a job--or at least, a place everyone is stuck being together--of course it starts to seem reasonable to build a "community" where you don't bring up topics you wouldn't discuss in front of strangers while in line at the post office.
