Have you ever played a game and found yourself disappointed because it just reminded you of a similar title that you enjoyed way more? That has been my experience with Bloodborne, an interesting and beloved game that simply cannot grab my attention because I find Hollow Knight so preferable. From the art style and monster designs to the narrative and gameplay, every piece of Bloodborne feels flat for me compared to my experiences with Hollow Knight. To help me parse the comparison, I took some time this weekend to write out my thoughts in more detail.
