Okay, here's the thing that bothers me about losing twitter. I followed a lot of people who were 1. In fields I was interested in (film and librarians) 2. Posting history or art history or 3. International.
Twitter, and Instagram to a degree, had a global feel to them. And it wasn't just artists, I followed one guy who posted anime that you would just not see in American circles. I followed another person who posts old restaurants (its cool, trust me). I followed accounts of Japanese mascots.
Sigh.
