"A money can’t buy prize
The goal for each of the participants in our The Real Race - Super Trofeo Esports series will be to finish first in the grand final, and with it, win a money can’t buy opportunity to become a factory driver in the new Automobili Lamborghini Esports Team - joining a professional esports team as we take part in some of the most difficult and prestigious esports racing activations throughout the world." - https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/motorsport/news/lamborghini-the-real-race-super-trofeo-esports
the wording is extremely funny here.
"a money can't buy prize" - your prize is a job. a job as a factory driver, which you'll have grinded the game for hundreds of hours - without any sort of compensation - to get because the on track winner gets it.
it's likely your competition is just as fast and thus technically just as deserving as you, but then what else do you bring? cause if the only thing you have for yourself is your pace have i got some bad news for you, even more so in the esports scene.
and this all, of course, assuming Lambo works in good faith and isn't one of those teams with abusive contracts legally residing in a tax heaven. yknow, the money laundering kind. cause otherwise you just spent 6 months in the rat race for a fake job, from which you'll be fired after a year anyway if you don't have anything else besides your pace.
oh, and just one more thing. the team website isn't up to date. "Sherrat, Giglioli and Simonini" while the page introduces Losio, Tonizza and Santoro. make of it what you will. https://esports.lamborghini/esports-team/
did i mention how much i've come to fucking hate simracing esports?
