overall a pretty good watch, you can tell that the people behind it were interested in the story they were telling. an extremely funny thing (to me) is seeing dudes like Montezemolo openly still being salty over this 14 years after it happened. like let it go my man it's done and dusted eat an ice cream while having a cry or something like a normal person.
my main critic is that i feel like you can divide the documentary in two distinct parts because the tone slightly but very noticeably shifts from episode 1 and 2 to episode 3 and 4.
the first part talks about Brawns' internal affairs, about its sponsors, about the F1 climate that year and its effect on the team. then once the FOTA vs FOM saga ends at the beginning of episode 3, that's it, no more of that at all. it's like FOM was sent the episode for approval and went "okay that's nice but no more of that if you want the whole thing approved :)".
FOM involvement is further highlighted by the edited footage without a single bit of the TV graphics from then along with the addition of the starting lights sound effect which iirc only came with the rebranding from a few years ago (2017? 2018?).
during the first part the fact that Brawn had to do some less than ideal sponsor deals is also brought up and aside from a bit dedicated to Virgin's boss... nothing at all is said further. then because Ecclestone is interviewed he inevitably dropped some bs as he is wont to do and... i think not a single piece of it is actually checked. in the second part of the documentary i also felt like there were a lot less interviews with external people which further reinforces my feeling that they wanted to dig too deep and got told to back off
apparently this is on hulu and disney+ idk don't ask me to check i pirated it lol
