to start off, i got the whole kit (base + clutch) for a total of 579€ at RSeat.
let's get the all encompassing bad out of the way first: if your shoe size is below EU 41, don't bother with these. i'm a EU 41 and at the lowest setting (as pictured above) my feet barely comfortably reach the faces. under that (like, say, 37-38 which is the average shoe size for women in France) you'll have to lift your heel from the foot rest which will quickly become extremely uncomfortable, if not painful.
simply adding more adjustment holes on the faces would have solved the issue entirely for quite a few people (myself included) but i guess that would have been a few cents less of profit...
speaking of the pedal faces, they offer great grip barefoot, wearing tights or wearing socks (you better believe i'm thorough on these matters) without being destructive which is great for not spending another hundred € on karting shoes all to look even more like a dweeb.
pedal faces aside, the physical adjustments are great and super easy to do. personally i made the brake as stiff as it could be (removing entirely its "soft stage") and opened its angle a bit for comfort. same for the throttle along with a longer travel (my preference).
the calibration/loadcell adjustment makes me believe Asetek doesn't know what it's selling. the manual recommends a 2% deadzone on the brake which is... nowhere near enough to simply rest your foot on the pedal. ask me how i noticed.
because the Racehub calibration just assumes you want to use the entire 180kg (lol) loadcell no matter what, you actually have to use the deadzone as a preload of sorts which leads to downright silly stuff like my using a 12% deadzone to need about 22kg of pressure before input. at least once finally properly setup to my liking the brake feels great. but yeah. 600€ product and i'm fiddling with it like it's an aliexpress knockoff.
speaking of being a 600€ product. none of the pedals were lubed when i got them. so after an hour of use they were squeaking worse than four years old Fanatec V3s. 600€. i shouldn't have have to whip out the trusty WD40 for a new product at this kinda price.
oh yeah also the clutch is fucking abysmal lol i actually kinda regret getting it. it's literally a standalone throttle pedal and due to the size issues mentioned at the beginning heel-toeing with these is incredibly hard. so now i'm just using the hand clutch on my wheel when driving H pattern cars lol. not as immersive but hey whatever gearbox simulation sucks ass in most games anyway
