i can't fucking believe i've just learned that a sim racing coaching service (Coach Dave Academy to not name it) teaches, of all things, the fucking string theory as an actual thing in an 80€ (excluding VAT) "lesson book". it is the single worst possible way to explain the relation between driver inputs and their effects on available grip because it dumbs down a very complex interaction in a way that cannot help the people it's destined to at all because it skips every single prerequisites to understanding this interaction.
but they went ahead and did that. again, in an 80€ (excluding VAT) book. i am actually floored.
