wearing a mask is better at preventing others from catching your disease than it is at preventing you from catching others' diseases but!!! 1) you can still spread covid without having symptoms so unless they think you're covid-testing every time you go out the door a mask can still prevent spread and 2) the mask is still better than nothing in terms of preventing you from catching others' diseases! especially if it's KN95 or equivalent/better!!!
non-sequitur but i have this one friend who--back when more people still took covid seriously, she would sometimes visit local family and she wouldn't wear a mask because "I trust them" and !!! it doesn't matter if you "tRuSt ThEm"--they could still have had the disease passed to them and also: The Mask Is Mostly For Them Not You!!!
