excuse me while i continue to be a little hater for a bit but it's deeply funny to me that the Pirelli sponsored and shod Porsche is the slowest pro car of top qualifying. really illustrates how far away Pirelli is from any other performance brand, not only in sheer performance but also in tire technology (their WRC tenure is a joke after the tires Michelin was bringing). also explains why they've refused to participate in tire wars for decades

The only thing I remember Pirelli for is the 'Carl in New York' ad which featured Aphex Twin's The Garden Of Linmiri (Caustic Window)
There are some other ad videos of them I like, but all of them are in 90s period and their latest ones just feel like ripoff of Apple's mid 2010s ads
Performance wise I barely know anything about them, so I guess that's something as well
yep iirc 90s and early 2000s were when Pirelli was actually cool. since then and especially since becoming F1's sole tire manufacturer it's been steadily downhill
