basically what I want out of a new online community,
which I have not gotten anywhere in the last five years except here and closed-admittance forums,
is somewhere that assuming good faith is standard and reliably rewarded
with Cohost dying I probably don't even need to add too many disclaimers that of course it's not a magic troll-proof field and not everyone on here has been in good faith at all times
but good faith is the expectation here and bad faith the exception and that is so, so rare in any place where posting is by signup rather than by "you gotta know a guy" and that's been kind of magical and I hope I can find it again
...also if the people posting in good faith could be transgender geeks with a strong "let your freak flag fly" philosophy re: i.e., making your online persona an iguana that is sexually attracted to cargo planes, okay, that is also a factor
