i didn't know much about Camelot the first times i played through Ace Combat Zero, only the rough outlines at best.
now i know a lot more about it because playing Fate GO got me curious and holy shit AC0 is literally Camelot with planes lmfao. like calling it "references" because there is more to it than that is cute and all but the basic premise of the entire game is Camelot essentially 1:1. they almost didn't deviate at all from the "original" tale and the "references" are so heavy handed they just can't be called that lol
