Aerrarl'i'r (she/they)

lorea gish who doubled as a highly ranked hr'a'cknir y'rn thanks to her innate abilities to manipulate astral energy. they often went on "strolls" by slipping themselves into the teleportations of materiel wherever it was needed, using her gish training to blend in where she didn't actually belong. an avid writer, they used these occasions to leave slates of their works where they would be found by bored regular soldiers, eventually gaining a reputation through word of mouth under a pen name that can be roughly translated to "longing for Vlaakith's bruises".

this eventually caught up to her when, one unfortunate day, the kith'rak in charge of the operation they had been affected to tore down the door of her quarters and accused them of heresy and of propagating obscene depictions of the Lich Queen Vlaakith. they were good—and arrogant to a fault about it— but not kith'rak good; and it earned her the scar across her right cheek up to the nose. she used their magics to slip out of the knight's grasp and reach the fortress' teleportation chamber and sent themselves to the Prime, landing in Faerûn.

Faerûn's inhabitants' unfamiliarity with githyankis made it easy to build a new life outside of the Astral. as she justifies her abilities by claiming to be a sorcerer or a paladin, they use those same abilities to woo impressionable maidens; leaving a trail of broken—with a few clinging to the hope of seeing them again—hearts throughout the continent.

yeah i'm so normal about her why are you asking

i find the Loviatar trial in the goblin camp p interesting as a narrative tool for gith tavs cause it's actually got a few layers to it in that sense. the ruthless training in the crèches has got to leave marks on every gith in one way or another, even if they're drilled (gaslit?) to think about it as normal and beneficial. and then they're presented with this trial by pain for a goddess most of them likely consider false and that likely reminds them of their worst childhood memories

because i'm an indecisive lil shit i had this idea of. what if their colour slowly changes based on a number of factors, like their current environment to blend in more, or the people they're currently close to (effect is amplified for significant others).
so if she spends time in a forest-y place or near other giths, her palette turns green/gold, near tieflings it goes towards pink/orange/red, and so on. a lil side effect from the tadpole (which would become near instantaneous under complete ceremorphosis, similar to a cuttlefish) that's being amplified by their echo knight inclinations as she... echoes... the environment and others
