i've been crunching since last Thursday night, mostly stopping to check here and on discord. but it's done—it's got everything i've posted this year on cohost (minus detailed summaries for my car liveries, these are already available on http://www.s56design.fr/ so it's way lower priority) and then a bit more that i didn't post. (mostly alts and such)
it's also pure html+css, i know stuff like javascript has neat uses but... i really like when i can browse a website without checking noscript at all (and also i'm not gonna bother with js and others if i can do without)

it's "bare bones" in that it's missing a bunch of stuff such as alt text, pictures from last year and beyond, my liveries as mentioned above, and so on for the sake of getting it up quicker. (don't think i'll ever get to go beyond being a hobbyist considering how disgusting motorsport is as a working environment for ppl who aren't white cishet guys so it's not like the resume page is exactly useful, but yknow)
i might also have a few bugs/annoyances i haven't worked out yet; i realized a bit earlier my overlay texts were fine on tablets but way too big on phones for example

overall, the neocities supporter sub + my domain (free for the first year) bring the total cost to about 62€/year, or 69$/year ( :) ). that's lower than my initial idea of getting the cheapest Adobe CC (72€/year) sub with an access to Portfolio which is really nice

i mention it on the friends page but i wanna thank again @theworksofegan for the permission to use their code as a base to build from (also personal reminder to include the same credit in the html itself)

i'll try to have an 88x31 button ready soon. you can also follow the website here if you want? https://neocities.org/site/aenore
(also i changed my bsky @ to my domain so i had to change the link to it in several places lol; idk what it actually does but hey it's shorter for the same thing so)

as DSC puts it:

there are many that regard the Art Car as a joke in itself, with somewhat lazy and basic execution, rather crudely applied blocks and blobs of primary colours, the word FAST applied on one door, a picture of the car on the other!

but that's the thing: it's not lazy or basic. it's a carefully crafted shitpost in the form of a race car livery which could only be created through understanding the very fundamentals of painting a race car.
almost every race car comes in a livery that's supposed to make it look fast, and most of those liveries will include sponsors. so he skipped that part and just wrote F A S T on one side. what's faster than a wrapped race car? why, the race car itself! BOOM put a stock picture of the car on the other side. so you know it's FAST

the yellow bits on the winglets and the hood are a play on how car classes will typically be differentiated through a colour code.

the circles on the front bumper are in reference to the other M6s from that year's Daytona 24 which tried to camouflage these endurance lights emplacements with their liveries, either by blacking them out or making them sponsor space. the alternating colours are another play on how liveries are usually designed: if you need colour on your car, just put a solid colour dot on each side and on the roof!

the entire thing is absurd to the highest degree and gods this sport could use some of that absurdity from time to time

@aenore

i made this Evo X livery in 2008, when i was twelve years old.

i barely knew how to use Photoshop and i had just followed a tutorial on how to paint cars for Trackmania United the day before. and so naturally i followed that up with the very first point of the post i'm adding to: i tried to make the coolest thing i could think of; which happened to be a replica of the 2006 Team Orange Subaru Impreza livery. issue is twelve years old Aenore couldn't find the necessary premade stuff so she improvised and instead went for the recently built Evo X since the premade stuff was close enough to be happy with it; cause back then it seemed utterly mad to me that someone would just. replicate everything on their own, from logos to decals.
for reference, this is the real car:

making my original idea on the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 is a gift to my inner twelve years old now that i not only have the skills to make, but also the self esteem and the skill to recognize that it is perfect, or at the very least as close as anyone could make it to perfect within ACC's constraints (notably being limited to three material finishes total)
