i think it would be a hilarious prank if a woman embraced me from behind and whispered "may i kiss your neck, little bird?" in my ear. what a great prank it would be. haha

it really bothers me how a good part of currently popular sapphic art/media/artists is twisted into a lens of "hating men" rather than "loving women"; especially by big influencer accounts (or even artists defining themselves like that, which is another level of yuck imo).
i'm not into mainstream culture whatsoever so at best i only see the surface of this but often i see stuff like a new popular pop singer du jour casually raving about her hate for men, or her fans doing that for her; and that being used as why "her art is so good" and such.¹

how do you live like this. how do you enjoy art out of hatred for someone. how do you CREATE out of hatred for someone. it's just so entirely baffling to me.

i'm a lesbian, when i create sapphic art it's out of love for women; men don't even enter my thoughts. if the main defining element of your art or of the art you enjoy is that it's created out of hatred for a part of the population, i just don't think it's worth giving any interest to begin with :|

¹ and that's before even getting into how often this kind of mentality is a straight road into terf shit :/
