i really like to incorporate colours intomy ocs even if after the fact like [switches to my oc account] . VITTA is orange because orange tulips, first and foremost. but it's a mix of red (chethi's colour) and yellow (their shirt, which is the same one their ""living counterpart"" wore). red is associated with sacrifice, danger, and courage, as well as passion and love, whereas yellow is associated with deceit and cowardice (this is ... admittedly my favourite way of using the colour yellow in my designs, i can't name a single time i've had a yellow character and have it mean "happiness")
red and yellow (chethi and their living counterpart) mix to make orange. its colour meaning is irrelevant, because it is detached from VITTA. VITTA is a sum of parts rather than a whole self.
however. this changes when you consider orange tulips, which is entirely why their colour is orange. in many ways, this makes them an individual. because it isnt the fucking colour that does it of course VITTA Has to make it a Flower, specifically. Has to make it something so detached from their creation that it becomes entirely unique to them. whatevr. does this make sense. sorry ive been experiencing a VITTA drought and this is what i've been thinking during it
