so, uh. Why are these rules like this.
end of the round you get stuck, you sink 1 level. THEN, after next movement, you make a roll to get out. BUT IT'S ALREADY TAKING THE SUNK LEVEL INTO EFFECT, SO YOU HAVE A WHOLE +6 TO THE ROLL. IT'S LIKE A ROLL OF 9+ BY DEFAULT!!!
AND THEN YOU SINK ANOTHER LEVEL AND MOST MECHS AREN'T TALL ENOUGH SO THEN THEY GET FULLY CONSUMED AND DIE IMMEDIATELY
All the terrain rules in battletech are basically just "the ground hates you and so does water"
And yeah, perfect example right there. Oh no, you slipped and fell, better roll for the knockdown- ope, your ammo rack exploded and hit your reactor, which went critical, you died.
House Rules are your Friend here
tbh this kinda makes me wanna get into battletech
