Let’s face it, it’s tough to be an animal-based superhero these days. All the good animals have already been taken by more accomplished superheroes, so what’s left? That was a dilemma possibly faced by the creators of Calvin Dalton (aka the Ferret).
Like most of the more sad supes, he is a cop by day and a vigilante by night. He took on the persona of “The Ferret” because, somehow, he had been graced with all the powers of the Ferret, including:
- Agility
- Strength or possibly Super Strength
- The ability to fly…
- Bulletproof?
He also wore a blue suit with a yellow cape (definitely because it’s ferret-related and not because they’re both primary colours). Sarcasm aside, the most ferret-like thing about him is his little ferret hood he wears, the vague claim that he has “all the powers of the ferret”, and a short life-span (what with him only appearing in 1 issue before disappearing from shelves permanently).
