"Beanbag" was a reference to Akhra's IRC channel, which we chose because it's aggressively comfy and we've been leaning into positive things wherever possible. we almost went with "Beanbag/Sett" (the latter was Lenester's channel) but it felt a little too cumbersome, and Lenester is happy at this point to fade from the spotlight, having been forced to occupy it full time for decades.
but whoops, Rhiannon is not Lenester (that, too, was gender trauma fallout...) and xie would very much enjoy some spotlight thank you very much, but doesn't have a similar historical meme to lean on.
might actually go with Sett System because the alliteration is nice, the meaning is somewhat apt (badger burrow, and explicitly communal in the case of Eurasian badgers, granted we have none of those lol), and Lenester deserves recognition even if e'd rather hang back.
but, there are a lot of good arguments for moving on to something fresh. it's become clear that those old mementos were bundled with some habits and assumptions that haven't held up over time. maybe they can be shaken off, but also new stuff is fun! gonna give it some thought.
