wenchcoat system:
🍯 Akhra (or Melli to disambiguate), ratel.
🐲 Rhiannon, drangolin.
🦡 Lenestre, American badger.

unless tagged or otherwise obvious, assume 🍯🐲🦡 in chorus; even when that's not quite accurate, we will always be in consensus. address collectively as Akhra (she/her), or as wenchcoat (she/her or plural).

At some point within the last two years I turned into a Cool Girl and I'm still not used to that,

weighing this pivot in my mind. feels like it wouldn't take much to push me past the tipping point

gotta find the right spot to push! things you're proud of can be fertile ground... the key for me was realizing my singer stage persona was in fact just me when confident, bringing it off-stage and engaging with compliments instead of immediately going into modesty mode. that was probably easiest for me because I had the clear moment-to-moment contrast to reflect on, but with a bit more time I could see it happening from the fashion compliments, or just from frequently being told that I'm really nice to be around.

so yeah I think tldr find a thing that you love about yourself, unabashedly embrace that love and accept others loving it too. the "being cool" part is just a side effect from enough people feeling like you're okay with them talking about thinking you're cool, that they all get a chance to compare notes!
