Thought of writing something about the "lost art of replaying games you already finished" (in regards to the whole "length = value" line of thought) but then I noticed… I haven't been replaying a lot of games for the past decade or so. Like, sure, I've started plenty of new runs when games get ported to newer systems and completed a chunk of those, too. But if I exclude this case and stick to games I've spent money on just once? Um…

There's been a couple games I replayed for Let's Play purposes like Raving Rabbids, Pikmin 1 on Wii, Wind Waker HD, Sonic Forces or Fire Emblem Warriors. Also some PlayStation games for specific trophies (Atelier Escha & Logy Plus/Shallie Plus, Ape Escape 2). But I think the last time I replayed a game just for fun without any other factors like a repurchase or trophies - simply because I felt like playing it - might've been Fire Emblem Awakening on 3DS or Viewtiful Joe on GameCube.

Feels… odd.

Of course, there was a reason for why I constantly shifted to new games for a while - I wrote various reviews for DS, 3DS and Switch games over the course of 15 years. And my collection has grown so much, I probably can't finish everything in my lifetime.

Don't really know where I'm going with this. Guess it's just something on my mind as I randomly boot up various games in the hopes of sticking with something again.
