Love looking into a queer IRL meetup and seeing that the options are "sapphic" and "achillean" because, as we famously all know, every person fits into one of two groups based on their gender and any exceptions are really one or the other if you look closely
There was a video I saw online once about how the terms gay and lesbian aren't nonbinary exclusionary bc, to oversimplify, gay men can be attracted to nonbinary people who look like men and gay women can be attracted to nonbinary people who look like women
I wish those people the best in their journey (and I don't think that identifying a certain way is nonbinary exclusionary unless you like. Make That An Issue) but it is not a correct assumption that all nonbinary people, let alone all trans people, fit neatly into a simple alignment chart
So that leaves me at a loss in dealing with queer events that insist we're all essentially WLW or MLM bc like, either the WLW group forcibly genders me as feminine for liking women (which is not cool just because the gender essentialism is gay, and it essentially requires arguing that I don't pass) or the MLM group implies that by virtue of being outside this paradigm my desire mustn't be acceptably queer—by this logic, after all, I "should" be dating straight women
