From the way i see it, if people hate bluesky they go to mastodon, if they hate mastodon then they go to bluesky. I've been team masto for a little bit, but theres enough people going to bluesky that i should at least reconsider making an account there
yeah right now i'm like mentally barring this off as "the inbetween times" where cohost is dying and nothing has been born from it's ash yet, so i am forced to use a dumb twitter clone to talk to my friends smh smh (i literally would prefer most other options!) (except for tumblr because at least in some ways, that website seems Worse)
Tumblr seems to be a less popular but still accounted for choice for some people. It seems like a strange choice to me though because i'm pretty sure at some point they explicitly said "tumblr is in maintainence mode" or something like that, so that whole site could just go at any time i think. Although i could be misremembering.
also i think the most unhinged(derogatory) asks i saw on this site were from people that got leftover harassment from when they were on tumblr so like, not really a great impression
for me personally, i'm not interested in bsky but i'm not exactly sold on mastodon either. i have an account on idtech.space but i rarely use it. mostly likely i'll be active on discord and updating my personal website (+RSS feed). if i really feel the need to Post i guess i'll use mastodon or my old tumblr account.
ya I'm a blue sky h8r so I'm on mastodon for now. my hope is that this website league stuff will take off and replace masto entirely for me but until then that's my plan
this isn't reflected on my accounts: if I've had posting energy I've put it into here instead. but I've def been reading my masto feed more than the bsky one
(and like 90% of nsfw artists actually went to bsky or back to Tumblr instead so i guess I'm going back to an entirely unused spicy account)
