laying on the floor visibly deflated from sighing because it's the magical time of year when 10 people per day think they're going to be the first to tell me about print-on-demand merchants
I'm sorry that I'm not sorry I don't have merch of the thing you want. creating merch requires capital, which I do not have; additionally it requires even more capital than that because I can't screenprint T-shirts or stamp out and fill enamel pins myself: I would have to find another company to do that, investigate their business practices, and then probably decline them for ethical reasons because any company that will print t-shirts for me, a nobody, will print them for any punisher skull or adult human female that offers cash on approval. this is before we even get into storing, packing, and shipping, all of which also require money and space and time that I simply do not have.
I'm glad people like the unicorns. I'm touched, more than I can say, by everyone who has gotten a tattoo or put one on a protest sign, or been inspired to make and sell their own design based in part on mine. but my wish for Pride and the rest of the year is for anyone who feels community with me to become comfortable knowing that there are beautiful things you cannot own.
