The actual reason I left Twitter and Reddit was that I stopped using the official apps because they would send me "Hey you haven't opened me in a while! Here's some random trending posts" notifications, and then after I got comfortable with some third party apps that did not speak to me unless spoken to, they shut off their third party app APIs :\
I left Twitter because of Nazis but yeah, same for Reddit, I was all set up the way I liked with RIF and then they got greedy and the official app is 98% ads so screw that
I mean that too lmao, but enough other people still use Twitter despite all the massive red flags that I thought I might need to interact with someone that is exclusively on Twitter eventually. That hasn't ever happened
