a lot of birds seem to really like having sex, which is kinda astonishing, since for anything that isn't a duck/goose/swan or a ratite, it's just a brief pressing together of essentially identical holes, swift and chaste as a kiss to primate eyes.
what does that instant of naked, hot, flesh-to-flesh connection feel like to a bird, insulated in feathers, experiencing the rest of the world only through beak and claws, the tremor of barbels? maybe any more than a second would be too much.
