inspired by an incredibly stupid and pedantic argument about "sculpting" vs. "carving" vs. whittling"¹, I decided to try additive shaping in a very simple way: adding a red tail to a hawk. it is... working? currently it's just wood glue, I'll try 2-part epoxy if I have to, but it's holding strong even as I apply carving pressure.
the ability to join pieces, then carve them, makes me incredibly powerful. one step closer² to the full-sized carousel of my dreams.
