I watched part of the new Ghostbuster sequel, and it mostly made me wish I was watching Ghostbusters 2016 instead. which is not a masterpiece of filmmaking but at least it demonstrates an awareness that a comedy should contain jokes
goatbatter: frozen empire has a subplot with a cursed artifact and an evil god but it honestly takes up less of the runtime than the central conflict, which is "egon spengler jr., who is a girl, can't go out and bust ghosts with her family because she is underage" and I'm not sure why I'm supposed to disagree with that
possibly because this movie is For Kids in a way that the original movies (even though we probably watched them as kids) definitely were not
also the script writer(s?) think "sweating bullets" means "sweating a lot, like if it's really hot" for some reason
