My plan with Twitter is to well and truly retire my account there once my 8 year anniversary there comes around next month. I already closed my NSFW Twitter account earlier this week, which was the 2 year anniversary of that account.
As a part of the sunsetting plan, I'll be going through some of my oldest Tweets and reflecting back on my time on the site, and by extension a very important and trans-formative time in my life.
What motivated me to make a Twitter account in the first place was to supplement my Instagram by sharing more of my impromptu thoughts on things.
In those days, creating an Instagram and taking selfies was a powerful act of defiance against depression and body dysphoria. Those selfies would amount to a transition timeline of sorts, and maybe, just maybe, help motivate others to hang in there.
I conquered. I overcame. I'm in a much better place now.
