Kissing girls is a mitzvah :3

Honey farms are among the first farms I make in a new world, assuming the biome at spawn supports bees. It’s a handy foodstuff early on and you get a few achievements out of the way while you’re at it. Stocking up on honeycombs and bottles of honey is always a plus, especially once you get settled down and start building neat things.

I’m starting fresh on a familiar seed in Java snapshot 21w17a. The latest snapshot features a lot of bug fixes and new content so I figured it was time to make the jump. I’ll be sharing a lot more as I explore the world and the updates roll out. ^^

Honey bottles are used to make honey blocks, which are helpful in making some of the more complex redstone contraptions out there. One honey bottle can also be broken down into three sugars if you’re in need of some.

Honey bottles stack so you can have up to 16 bottles handy as a foodstuff, which restores 6 hunger and cures poison! TAKE THAT CAVE SPIDERS!

Honeycombs are a key ingredient in making candles, beehives, and those cool-looking honeycomb blocks. They also prevent copper blocks from oxidizing (or continuing to oxidize) when you use one to wax a copper block.

They’re all around handy to have.

If you’re lucky, hell yeah! All you need is a campfire and shears (or a bottle). Plant bunch of flowers near the nest and you’re set to go. Just wait for the bee nest to start dripping honey. Breed two bees using any flower for even more bees!
