I have! As well as foxes! They kinda just always wandered around and although not often it was always super close. It'd usually be a staring contest followed by me waving or bowing out of respect then me talking to them and saying goodbye.
When visiting family in MX and SV I saw them a lot more often but they're considered a lot more dangerous there - I always continued waving, saying hello and bye, then leaving. I've always had a somewhat deep connection with them as only one of three in my family named after coyotes. It's brought me bad and goodluck but whenever I saw them in person it'd give me a day of energy and peace. You gotta treat them the way you want your day to go. My elders the last time I saw them told me it was clear that I stayed close to the coyote and that I'm more of the guiding type coyote rather than the trickster prankster kind (I'm both but they didn't need to know XD) so yeah I'd say I'm pretty close in connection with them.
