[screams in Nurse about the idea of putting blood types on ID cards because Blood Compatibility Does Not Work That Way, you always redo the test before a transfusion because it's such a cheap and fast test, the consequences of being wrong are catastrophic, and it's possible for your antibodies to change. even if you had a transfusion a week ago at the same hospital we would still recheck it before doing another one! this is not static information!]
