Sinuous, flexible
Tipped with pink fin/fan
A sawtooth wave down it's side
Seperating red from white
A part of me now
Ghostly yet inalienable
I curl it around my leg
I tuck it to a chair's side
I shift it out of
A closing door's path
I wag it when I'm happy
I flick it when annoyed
At it's strongest, it aches
with a yearning incomparable
It is part of me, inseparable
From the dragon who bears it
Though it may be invisible,
immaterial, it is undeniable
It is my tail
And in a way
It is real.
