Yes!! I love synths. I was definitely inspired by the genre of visor-faced synthetic fursonas that were becoming more popular when I originally came up with my fursona Coda as a possum in 2017-ish (I don’t know if protogens had officially come into existence yet, but I was definitely aware of primagens by this point).
I ended up doing something a little different with the tummy screen (which I imagined to be more like LEDs behind a layer of silicone) but I was definitely on that proto-synth wavelength. Since then Coda has been sort of an ambiguous mishmash of squishy bits and electronics that never fully resolves; they’re a robot/synthetic if it would be fun to depict them that way, but if not it doesn’t have to come up.
As for whether I’d specifically want to be a synth… I’ve certainly considered it. I just also like the individuality my own fursona gets to have, too. And that said… given that I really like having multiple forms and permutations of Coda mapped to different species, a Coda Synth is absolutely on the table.
