Kissing girls is a mitzvah :3

I was watching a video about missed connections, where transit lines end just short of a destination that could have massively improved the mobility of people and usefulness of the line for a relatively small initial cost. These are two of the most egregious examples in California I know of.

The Downtown Railway Connector (DRC) linking the Transbay Transit Center to the shared Caltrain and future California High Speed Rail line terminates in an inconvenient location for most folks visiting San Francisco. The DRC is a planned project but not expected to be completed anytime within the next decade.

An extension of LA Metro’s C line from its current terminus in the middle of a highway interchange to a regional rail station would greatly improve regional mobility between the cities of the LA Basin and cities in Orange County and beyond. Not even a committed plan has been made about it yet. Only a distant proposal. At least with most other gaps in the region there are concrete plans to fill the gap within the next decade.

Unfortunately there are plenty of other missed connections out there in the world. The best time to fill them is now.
