New Horizons: Launches incomplete, takes a year to receive all of the basic features, has one subsequent major update before Nintendo decides to forget about it
man my older sister has literally every villager in PC, it's her favorite game. she's gonna be so sad.
the part about this that's so crazy is that they're actually gonna keep the game offline so you could technically still play it, which is something that needs to happen to MORE mobile games that are facing shutdown

No need to be sad, they're making an (admittedly paid) offline version w/ all MTX removed, and will have save transfers, so nothing (except unspent Leaf Tickets) will be lost.
