cheesed to meet you

Little corner of the web to act pretty silly. I talk and whine about my personal life here so if you don't know me and want to follow: reconsider.

I watched the cat returns with my nieces and not going to lie it was nice to see cats but the writing was very... Like why is a teenage girl's "arc" to let go of a crush on a boy she projected an ideal on to an adult (furry) man just because she got to "know him better" (not!) or why were the three furry guy's dynamic more fleshed out than literally any other character's dynamic...

Like don't get me wrong i dont watch kids movies to be reborn as a person or have my mind completely blown away, but I feel like ghibli movies always get hyped up as these emotional experiences with all ages #relatable moments but that was just a "girl is kinda insecure and a klutz with nothing going on in her life then gets pulled in an adventure where the big moment to assert her agency is to tell an old man she wouldnt marry him and it's played off with a comedic effect"
