Ford sold 7,743 F-150 Lightning in Q1 2024 and those numbers are largely viewed as disappointing. In the same period Hyundai's Ioniq 6 has sold 3,646 vehicles at a price point markedly lower than the Cybertruck. Both these vehicles have been on the market for some time and so didn't benefit from the swell of back orders and hype that the Cybertruck does.

But if we want a fairer comparison, we'd need a truck that's expensive but still overpriced and notorious for its dogshit build quality.

Land Rover sold 58,280 Range Rovers in Q4 FY24.

i only know videogame sales figures and obviously one of those monstrosities is orders of magnitude more expensive than a videogame but dang, i'm honestly kinda relieved that there were fewer than 4000 of those things out on the roads
