today's touhou fact that i'm not getting over is that sakuya izayoi is NOT shooting infinite knife-shaped magical projectiles. she has a finite number of regular physical knives and periodically uses her time-stop powers to walk over and pick them up, and go back to the place where she was, to throw them again
