tonight, i deleted twitter from my phone, and closed the pinned tab in my desktop browser that was once a permanent fixture. in a way, it feels weird to change, but i feel that i'm making a good choice. nowhere to go but forward. tomorrow i'm getting my backup data settled and then deleting my account, so that only i (and possibly archive.org lol) will have access to what i used to have on twitter. this is me exercising control not only over information i've shared but in a way also who i am. it makes me feel like i have more power than i realized
