considering the possibility of a custom mega drive cart pcb where the last 128kb of addressable "rom" is actually volatile storage that's able to be read and written to from an external source, enabling one to (among other things) stream displayable graphics to the machine. only concern is how much data can be written to in a frame before a vblank (where the actual rom that's being executed would start reading from the volatile portion and sending that data to the vdp)
