because like, do u really think laying off people to break up comfortable teams is going to SLOW DOWN union building? do u think breaking highly effective teams and firing their friends INCREASES PRODUCTIVITY? can any of these people DO MATH
i'm no expert but as far as i've seen from other people in the know, this is absolutely MBA shit, and it is absolutely, literally bad practice. people are being taught to do things wrong, even by capitalist standards. there is no true "rational economic actor," and that extends to people with money and fancy education making Business Decisions.
