Who, exactly, at this fucking point, is going to wholeheartedly treat the Unity climbdown as anything other than "guess we didn't get away with that! Everybody calm down so we can think of what we're going to do to you instead in three to six months."
It's just a regroup. Simple pattern matching on literally the entirety of corporate orthodoxy for the past decade+ tells you that.

I do hope the EU goes through with the proposed rule that would force a six month period and clarity standards of announcement of terms on unilateral contracts like this being changed. Not that I put my main hopes in that kind of governance, but it would be really funny if Unity's grift was so obviously bad it got the EU to put brakes on anyone else doing it that badly either.
