huh it might be because shit's extremely complicated and you can't just wave a magic wand, and most of the time can't do what's obviously the right thing, because geopolitical ties are also extremely complicated and anything you do will have cascading knockoff effects beyond what you intended
pick a global conflict. true for all of them. if there were easy solutions they'd be done already
