and you havent checked- take note that, seemingly without my consent, one drive was uploading files to the cloud and not even telling me in the guise of their shitty icloud-wannabe nightmare service

i only found this out when i tried to delete documents and it warned me that i could recover them from the cloud, and i was like EXCUSE ME???? so you gotta click on the weird, shitty cloud -> settings -> 'pause sync' -> Quit OneDrive

to manage your files in the cloud you have to log in (why do i need an account to use an operating system) and it will nag you to buy more storage of course to this thing you never asked for

i am really sick of software thinking consent is optional, we gotta have a reckoning. i use icloud because freakin apple ASKED ME if i wanted to

"I know. Let's become a parasitic disease"

"Surely there's a better option than—"

"No"

I'm pretty sure sneakily uploading ppl's data without consent is a huge GDPR issue, especially if you happen to have stuff like medical info in your documents folder. hope they get fined heavily for this shit

This shit happened to me, it filled up my storage, I couldn't get any emails and in a bout of panic-filled stupidity I deleted half of my shit. I was lucky to save a lot of it.

Fuck Windows and fuck OneDrive especially.
