What kind of people, do you think, are into games canonically deemed "immersive sims?" The Arkane games, the original Deus Ex, the Looking Glass games, Gloomwood, that sort of thing. There's no market research I can find on this. Not interested in snarky answers.

The person I know who loves Deus Ex the most is also the chillest most vibes-oriented guy I know. He films himself on his phone making vegan food with his wife and uploads it to a discord full of trans women. He loves to mess around with Decker while stoned. Does that help?
Hmm, might have a bit of a self-selection bias, but I'd skim through the TTLG and TresCom forums.
That might be an indicator in and of itself, since there are still vibrant forum communities for the genre or for specific games in the genre.
