On Masto I find myself regularly replying to someone and then muting the convo, because I don't want to take it any further than that. Which means I don't actually want the social interaction. Which means I don't actually want to use social media. It's just... what's there

i've had the same thing on twitter lately (actually i reply and then delete it) and i think it's just about, i used to have some sense that it might be worth engaging in some way and i don't anymore at all. it is sad
