dug a bit more into things. apparently 'post a video and get randomly and immediately suspended for supposedly violating the intimate media rule' has been going on for awhile now at twitter. found someone who got hit with it this month for... paddling a boat on a lake. fun times

a few months ago if you posted this guy, it would get you instantly locked for 12 hours for posting revenge porn

addendum: while I was trying to dig up the image of the Little Guy Who Gets You Instantly Banned for Revenge Porn, I also found this

I once got banned for several days the second I posted a timelapse video of a completely sfw unobjectionable drawing I did for that same reason. I appealed and won eventually, but also every time I post those videos under my drawings now twitter tells me they put a warning on it for having "sensitive content" lol

a number of months ago, I got locked out of my discord account overnight. whenever I emailed their support team about it, they told me they would not be reinstating my account for reasons that were outlined in an earlier email that I had never received. whenever I pressed the issue by asking what specifically had led to the ban, I was told that my account was banned and therefore was not being reinstated. I am still not sure if a human being ever saw any of my messages.
