Sometimes I think about how "cozy" isn't the same to everyone. Your cosy is my allergen-filled hellhole. This place, to me, is cozy. I can keep every surface tidy. I can keep the air cleaner than a hospital. My ADHD isn't overwhelmed by clutter and knickknacks. I am at peace.

And then I notice the fish on the wall,

It's funny I growing up I lived in a house that was decorated in a style I'll call "Whoops we ran out of money to finish the house aside from the first floor/Low key hoarding induced by trauma" and when I finally got my own room and then own place I just cut out more and more stuff physical stuff. Aside from plush foxes which I admit I have too many of but look people feel like they have to get me SOMETHING for Christmas. Meanwhile I'll see other people with ADHD talk about how they can't ever let someone move their giant piles of stuff and am just sorta vaguely baffled by it. Which I don't say to be judgy* just that it's wild how much these things can vary. Also I'd like that room a lot with just a little more color. Get some blue in there somewhere. Maybe some wood, break it up a little.

*Though I do encourage people to think about if something is actually working for them, or if they are just so tired of a 1000 versions of "Just don't be sad!" that they've dismissed doing anything. Which I've been there to so fair enough imaginary person I'm arguing with

Also in regards to the fish my favorite art piece from when I was in Helena MT and would visit the weirdly good art district was when I walked into one that had a series of three ceramic fish on the wall in a vaguely 90s New Mexico hippy style and the plaque under it had the name, "Sex Dungeon". I have no idea if it was for another piece that had been under the fish, or if that was really what the fish where called but either way bravo to everyone involved.

Anyways that's my quarterly "I haven't written a short story in Amy's mentions lately" post see you sometime in the fall with something wild my mom told me that has to have been made up
