I keep sending my militia into terrible situations hoping it will lead to the collapse of the fortress and then they win handily and I... when will my tutorial fort die

I kept breezing through forgotten beasts until one from the lowest cavern layer popped out that was a fire-breathing leech with bronze scales. It just decimated everything the came near it. I just had to seal off that cavern layer entirely
just wait until you meet one that breathes deadly dust or is made out of metal etc
