It is not sad that you have not had that experience in a long while since when you had it. It will always be good that you have added that experience to your collection while you go on to have other experiences. So it’s okay if it’s over. It was good and you can enjoy that memory from the experience collection forever.

Relatedly I never quite get why people say they want to erase something, usually a video game, from their memory so they can experience it again. As good as playing it for the first time may have been, I want to remember how good that first time was for as long as I can
